Due to locating a method of bypassing the port blocking done by my ISP, Oldserver will be moving back to...well...Oldserver. With this move, Oldserver will be receiving a theme change, custom forums, and a full-blown chat rewrite (don't count on those last two happening until 2015).

For those of you that didn't know, the very site you're reading is hosted by good old Host Gator, not by me personally. In any case, the url to the new (old) server is: http://oldserver.ath.cx/.

Services such as the help section, forums, requests, etc. will remain here, while everything else will be ported over (eventually). During this process, the links in the nav bar will be updated so that they point to these new locations. Also, we're watching you Syfer.

So, today, after realizing just how slow the Traffic Light really is and realizing that it was beyond hope, I rewrote it in Perl for speeds that Keanu Reeves could only dream of. After several hours negotiating with the CGI, including several ritualistic sacrifices, CGI and I eventually came to a deal and now there's a much faster Traffic Light as a result.

Yeah, this news post is useless, but it's also the first proper news post this year and I got to make some references to an overrated movie.

In other news, I've learned from the BBC that there's a snow storm on the East Coast of the U.S. that has killed at least five people. You know what this means, right? Frosty the Snowman, and his drinking buddies Jack Frost, Santa Clause, Stripe, And Hermit the Reindeer, are fucking pissed.
